Enter the time period at the prompt shown in Figure 2-66 and you are prompted
to enter a new sign.
Press <RETURN> to enter the default sign or type a new
sign and press <RETURN> to enter it.
Next, you are prompted to enter a new
countersign.
Again, press <RETURN> to enter the default or type a new
countersign and press <RETURN>.
After signs/countersigns for all time periods
have been entered, press <f8> to return to the INPUT OPTIONS menu (Figure 2-
62).
Use this PAM selection to select five time periods worth of smoke/pyrotechnic
information.
The GEN SMOKE/PYRO option has changed since REV F. You must
select how the data is paired; it is not done automatically by the system.
Once this option is selected, the screen displays:
Loading “GEN SMOKE/PYRO”
Next, the BGU asks,
“Is this a merged corps database (Y/N)?”
Respond with “Y” or “N” to the question.
Next, the screen shown in Figure 2-
67 is displayed.

Press the <f1> key to modify the smoke information. After selecting <f1>, the
screen shown in Figure 2-68 is displayed.
From this screen, you can select smoke information by switching the right
column around.
To swap the second and third smoke signals. You would first
move the smoke signals” down below as shown in Figure 2-69
signals back in reversed order.
The signals are moved by
entry and pressing the <F> key to select a blank for that
moves down below.
