If the necessary files do not exist, the following message is displayed:
THE SUFFIX FILE DOES NOT EXIST
USE INPUT - CREATE OPTION
THE EXPANDER FILE DOES NOT EXIST
USE INPUT - CREATE OPTION
PRESS <RETURN> TO EXIT
Press <RETURN> and the PAM menu returns.
Select the ENTER SOI/CEOI option to
create the files.
If the files do exist, the screen displays a message showing the progress of
the generation.
Once generation is complete, the PAM menu returns. A
generation should take only a few minutes.
Use this PAM selection to generate five time periods of sign/countersign
pairs.
This section of SOI database generation has been changed since
revision F.
Once this option is selected, the screen displays:
Loading “GEN SIGN/CNTR”
Next, the BGU asks,
“Is this a merged corps database (Y/N)?”
Respond with “Y” or “N” to the question.
Next, the BGU displays the screen shown in Figure 2-62.
