CHANGING HOPSET IDENTIFICATION (ID)
Changing FH hopset ID.
When needed and authorized, the NCS can change from
one FH hopset ID to another.
Net members must also change hopset
identification.

Set FCTN to LD.
b. Set MODE to FH-M
c.
Set CHAN to channel where the hopset ID is stored that needs to be
changed.
d.
Press <FREQ>.
Display shows old hopset ID.

Press <CLR>.
Display shows that the last two digits have been

LOST COMMUNICATION
If you lose communication, do the following steps.
a.
Set CHAN to channel where you last had communication.
b. Monitor channel (step a).
c.
Wait for the NCS to contact you.
d. If you are unable to make contact after doing step c, do steps e and f.
e.
Set KY-57 to OFF, rt FCTN to SQ OFF, rt CHAN to CUE, and rt VOL as needed.
f. Key transmitter and call NCS; then request a cold start.
