ICOM SINCGARS RADIO: HOPSET(S) LOADING PROCEDURES
PROCEDURE SUMMARY:
The following summarizes the frequency hopping operating procedures for an
ICOM radio.
The radio controls are shown in Figure J-1.

Using BECS or SINISS, load the ECCM fill device (MX-18290) with the
common lockout(s), at least one net lockout set, and at least one
TRANSEC Key (Pages 2-104 through 2-107).
2.
Turn on the power supply to the radio.
3.
Set the FH Sync Time for the radio.
Turn the function switch (FCTN) to
the LOAD (LD) position.
The MODE switch can be in either the single
channel (SC) position or the frequency hopping (FH) position.
Press the
button on the front panel keyboard.
Press the clear (<CLR>)
button and two lines appear on the LED display. Use the numeric keys to
enter the two-digit day and then press the store (<STO>) button. To
enter the time, press
two times.
Press <CLR> and four lines
appear on the LED display.Enter the hour and minute. Press <STO> at
the exact time (resets seconds to zero).
4.
Load the common lockouts into the radio (if no lockouts exist, go to
step 5).
Turn the FCTN switch to LD, the MODE switch on FH and make
sure CHAN is set on MAN.
Turn the FILL DATA SELECTOR SWITCH on the fill
