TIE ROD REPLACEMENT AND REPAIR (CONT)
NOTE
Procedure is the same for both sides.
1.
INSTALL clamp (1) and JOINT (2).

INSTALL SCREW (3), new lock WASHER (4), and NUT (5).

INSTALL two new rubber
INSTALL castellated NUT
boots (1 and 2) and tie ROD (3).
(4) and TIGHTEN to 111 Ib-ft (150 N.m).
INSTALL new cotter PIN (5).
INSTALL castellated NUT (6) and TIGHTEN to 111 Ib-ft (150 N.m).
INSTALL new cotter PIN (7).
NOTE
Follow-on Maintenance:
Adjust tie rod (page 4-341).
