Remove the battery cover on the CPU..2. Note three small pins located on the bottom of the back of the battery nearthe middle.3. Note the connector over the left and middle pins.4. Remove the connector.5. Replace the connector, covering them middle and right pins.This process disconnects the battery backup to the unit. Refer to thePORTABLE PLUS OWNER’S DOCUMENTATION and Appendix F of this document regardingthe connection of the battery and additional information.The first time the machine is turned on after a zeroization, the operator ispresented the following message:WARNING: Memory Lost! Press [f1] to reformat drive A: (destroying data) or pressthe space bar to continue without reformatting (data errors on A: may result).Press <fl> and continue with normal operations.ZEROIZATION RESETS THE SYSTEM’S CONFIGURATIONS.
