NON-ICOM SINCGARS RADIO: HOPSET(S) LOADING PROCEDURES
PROCEDURE SUMMARY:
The following summarizes the frequency hopping operating procedures for a Non-
ICOM radio.
The radio controls are shown in Figure I-1.
1.
Using BECS or SINISS, load the ECCM fill device (MX-10579 orMX-
18290) with the common lockout(s), at least one net lockout set
and at least one TRANSEC Key (Pages 2-107 and 2-109).
2.
Turn on the power supply to the radio.
3.
Set the FH Sync Time for the radio. Turn the function switch
(FCTN) to the LOAD (LD) position. The MODE switch can be in
either the single channel (SC) position or the frequency hopping

Press the clear (<CLR>) button and two lines appear on
the LED display.
Use the numeric keys to enter the two-digit day
(last two digits of Julian date) (see Figure I-2 for Julian Date
