FREQUENCY REUSE PLAN PRACTICAL EXAMPLE (Continued)
CS/CSS units supporting 2D BDE).
You need the following items to complete the exercise:
Radio Net Listing for the 2D Brigade Task Force
Authorized Frequency Listing
Blank Frequency Reuse Sheets
Frequency/Net Matrix
Develop a Frequency Reuse Plan, using single channel CUE frequencies (50 kHz)
and a frequency hopping manual frequencies (25 kHz).
Review the following two reuse applications.
APPLICATIONS:
1.
Complete the Radio Net Listing to include: RF Bands, User
Definition (SU for sole user or CU for common user), Reuse
Class/Zone and if net is a Frequency Hopping Net.
2.
Complete the Frequency and Net Matrix by counting the number of
frequencies by RF Band from the frequency list and by counting the
number of nets in each band from the Radio Net Listing.
Each
Frequency Hop Net requires 2 frequencies (SU or CU).
NOTE:
If you have more nets than frequencies, then a reuse plan is required. If the
frequencies equal or exceed the number of nets, then a reuse plan is not

required.
Complete the Frequency Reuse Plan for the VHF-FM RF Band.
A/L, MORT, WPNS, and SCT Nets will be classified as Sole User
Nets.
The 2D BDE will require one Reuse Class. The Zones will be made
up by:
(l). 1-78 IN BN is Zone 1.
(2). 2-78 IN BN is Zone 2.
(3). 2-62 AR BN is Zone 3.
(4). 3-62 AR BN is Zone 4.
The following spares need to be planned for: RATT Spare 1 and SSB
Spare 1.
MEDEVAC PEACE (34.000 MHz) and Range Control (37.900) are fixed
frequencies.
