Extreme cold causes cables and wires to become hard, brittle, and difficult to
handle.
Be careful when handling and connecting the cables to the hardware.
Be careful that kinks and unnecessary loops will not result in permanent
damage.
Keep snow or ice from entering areas around keyboard, printhead,
paper feed or disc access slot.
OPERATION IN DESERT AND DUSTY AREAS
In hot, dry, sandy or dusty climates the connectors, receptacles and all slots
or openings are subject to damage from wind blown sand, dust and dirt. Always
cover any opening with any protective non conductive clean material or cloth
when necessary.
When not in use, store equipment in its protective cases.
OPERATION IN HOT MOIST OR WET CLIMATES.
In hot, moist or wet climates the equipment is subject to damage from moisture
or fungi.
Be extremely watchful for this condition. Wipe all moisture and
fungi from exterior of the equipment with a lint free dry cloth. Keep
equipment in the cases when not in use.
Use or store in shelters or buildings
when possible during very damp or rainy weather.
