NCS transmits lockout set(s) first, if needed; then
Lockout set: Press <STO>.
changes as shown.
LOCKOUT SET STORED
Press <STO>; then enter the channel number where it is to be
stored (number given to you in step b). Display changes as shown.
Acknowledge when ERF is received and stored.
Set FCTN to normal operating position.
On command, set CHAN to where hopset is stored.
o If FH update is being done in CT, you must scroll to nets operational
TEK or have TEK loaded into channel selected for update.
o If communication is not established, set CHAN to where you last had
communication. The NCS contacts you.
Cue is used when you need to contact a FH radio net when you are not an active
member of that net.
Cue can be used if you have missed your primarv nets
opening or if you need an ERF.
Cue may also be used if you need to be a
member of an alternate net or if you are operating a SC radio and wish to
contact a FH net.

signal, see Operators Manual TM 11-5820-90-10-1. Refer to the local SOP
Set COMSEC to PT.
Set CHAN to CUE.
Make sure channel is loaded (if it is not loaded, do
the loading procedures from Operators Manual TM 11-5820-890-10-1).
Set RF to HI
o If you are using a long range rt, set RF to PA.
Adjust VOL as needed.
