Section VI NET GROUPS DESIGN
A nets group design is used to organize into operational groups the nets in
the master nets file.
Net groups are typically designed for the command and
staff echelon and battalions or comparable elements. The net groups design
also forms the basis for the generation of SOI extract pages by BECS.
Up to 150 net groups can be created.
The nets are entered into a net group by
using the DESC ID number.
The ID numbers are entered into a table as shown in
Each net group is titled for identification (16 alpha/numeric characters).
Each net group may contain up to 36 entries.
The last two entry positions in
the table are used for entering the edition number and classification (DESC
IDs 1 and 2 in the 2D Brigade Master Net List). Also MEDEVAC(S) and RANGE
CONTROL nets are entered in every net group.
